That has happened in the past, and depending on if I felt like it, I'd dance with him or smiling shaking my head no and turning to my friend if, I didn't want to dance with him.

That depends if he is flirting dancing - and you feel comfortable - I'd continue to dance.
If you were uncomfy and he was being a total jerk, I'd move away, if he persisted get a bouncer.
