I think that some people are more likely to believe in G-d and religion than others, due to upbringing, genes and their minds. If this is true (which I believe it to be - surely a logical atheist in a community and family of logical atheists is unlikely to believe in G-d) then how can G-d allow this? It is not fair, put simply.
Or if you believe Jesus is the only way to salvation - what about people in strict Muslim countries? They will have heard of Christianity, perhaps, but following it would be a huge sacrifice to themselves and their community.
Why would God give some people more of a chance to believe than he does others?

'Einstein...' - that's not what I'm asking - I've studied determinism but thanks. I'm asking about how G-d can give some people more chance to believe in him than others - everyone has that chance, perhaps, but some still have MORE of a chance e.g. those raised in Christian cultures are probably more likely to become Christian, people in Muslim countries are more likely to be Muslim.
I'm not saying the chance is not there, but that it is not EQUAL for everyone.

The issue you are really trying to get at is this- Are events predetermined or not. And that means ALL events including human thought. You should research the topics "determinism" and "quantum mechanics" and then decide on an answer for yourself. One is definitely the deciding factor, but either way free will is excluded.

everything in life is a 50% chance. you will either make a basket ball shot or you will not. you will either get to work or you will not. you will either believe in God or you will not. the choice is yours regardless of your upbringing. there are many things that we chose to do differently than our parents. be it raising our kids or our beliefs on righteousness. perhaps a atheist child in a family of atheist finds God and brings more of his family to Him.

according to pope john paul 2, anyone not a catholic is going to hell. so with that said, why should anyone be destined for heaven since every religion claims to be the one true religion and every other one is false and is leading people to hell? does it really matter who's right since we are all condemned by all religions we don't practice? i think not.

Yeah, this whole "I will divide you" thing is really puzzling, but I'll go with it. Consider the other hand: if we all believed the same.
