No matter the climate, ur dogs need shelter from the rain, cold or heat. It is against the law in some states to keep a dog outdoors without shelter. Why r u getting dogs if u have no where to properly keep them ? A dog is a pet and needs attention and interaction with people, how much of ur time is going to be spent outside with them. Even working dogs (hunting, herding) need shelter and human contact. You had better think twice about getting dogs before u make a decision.

Build a shade, something with a roof and some walls where you can put your dog house. If possible have the ground cemented because if it rains it will be muddy for your dog and even for you while feeding them.

Yes they should have a shelter of some kind to get out of the rain.

It don't have to be a dog house as such but a place large enough for them all to be with enough room to be comfortable together.

You might consider a small shed for your larger dogs. Make sure that the shed is on a brick, wood or concrete foundation. You can line it with carpet remnants and put in some used cushions and blankets that you can pick up at a second hand store. Peace.

Why aren't they in the house with you?! Do you also sleep in the backyard? I don't get it......Dogs are pack animals. That means that in order to be good dogs, they must be around their 'pack', which would be you and the other humans. Why did you get a dog in the first place if you are just going to leave them out?

A cheaper alternative to a doghouse would be a lean-to. It will provide shelter from the rain and a good shady spot when it's hot. My labrador loved his. just make sure the soil is higher than surroundings.

Your dogs need insulated houses if they are going to be kept outdoors all the time. If you live in a mild climate you can make a door for them in your garage.
