how long does it take for the side effects of steroids to die down?

i had a steroid jab for hives (skin allergy) 1 month and 1 week ago. i suppose it is a Glucocorticoid jab. i researched on the internet and found out that it may cause irregularity of menstrual periods. i have missed my period for about one week and i am wondering if it is because of the steroids, and if so about how long will i know that i am back to normal. thanks (:

my daughter had skin asthma and shes taking as prescription a drug with steriod. the result was like yours and in addition to that, she gained weight. it took six months of recovery, and three months her weight back to normal. she had this water theraphy, no softdrinks , no tea, no juices, just plain water. her monthly period it takes a few months to got back to normal. anyway consult your doctor just to be sure.
