This is fine. Average milage for a 2001 is probably 70,000 miles or so. Even though it has extra Acuras easily make it to 250,000 to 300,000 miles when well maintained.

It all depends on how well the car was maintained. Does the owner have maintenance records? While it is common for these cars to have 100-200k miles if they were not well maintained then they will leave you stranded. The condition of the engine and transmission should be checked for burned smell in the oil and tranny fluid. Has the timing belt been replaced, are there any deep knocks or ticks from the lower part of the engine or right under the valve cover? These are interference engines which means if the timing belt breaks the pistons hit the valves and you can throw the engine away. If the trans is automatic does it slip at all when shifting? If is manual does the clutch engage/dis-engage properly-gears grind at all? You can run a compression check on the engine relatively easily before you buy it. If the seller does not want you checking it over well then I would walk away. Take someone who knows about cars with you to check it over.
Good luck

Depends on how long you expect the car the last, how well the car was taken care of, and how much you are going to pay for it. Mostly how much you are going to pay for it. Go to www.kbb.com and run the car through so you can get an idea if what they are asking is what its worth. Most cars now days get almost 200k miles before they die. A car with that many miles needs to have the transmission flushed, the water pump changed and the timing belt changed at least.

As stated, it depends on how well the car was maintained. Since asking the previous owner may be fine, they may not have service records, and they can always lie and say they changed the oil and did the maintenance themselves. One trick I like to use when asking someone about the condition of a car they're selling is to ask them the firing order of a small block Chevy. If they know it by heart, they will tell you and start talking about cars, giving you a clue as to whether or not they're a motor head that really knows how to maintain their own vehicles. If they have no clue what 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 means, they probably don't know enough about cars to even know if anything really is wrong with the car.

Average milage for any vehicle is about 12,000 miles per year. This is a 6 year car, average milage is about 72,000 miles. It's got a little extra mileage but if it's well taken care of it should be fine. Look up the blue book value of the car too at kbb.com

No as long as its had good care. First ask about timing belt and water pump. Those are pretty expensive to fix and will have to be done soon if they haven't already been done. Other than that, that's not bad. I've seen them with 200k and still going strong.

Absolutely. Acura's are great cars. 100,000 miles is just at warm up.
