this is how i came to know God, not of the bible, but through personal experience. That's why I can say I believe in God and recognize it in many religions while not recognizing it in many people who say they believe in certain religions. I would say that I'm a deist, rather than belonging to any particular religion.

men and women come together to form a union through marriage. people come together to form society and culture. oceans and the land form together to form a planet. the planets, people, and all things came from stars. the planets and the stars form solar systems. so on and so on. everything is part of a greater fabric of existence. stars together form galaxies. galaxies form the universe. the universe forms multi-universes. etc, etc. Until everything that we know and ever will know form together to make a giant consciousness of existence. I call that God.

Some day you might be able to tap into that knowing, and then you will realize that you are God, that infinity is equal to zero, that good is equal to evil, that sin is the same as goodness.

I can prove God is real in the ways he has made himself evident in my life, however if you are a nonbeliever nothing that I say or do will help you. The only thing that will help you is God making himself evident in your life.

My life is evidence of God and his marvelous works I don't need a bible to tell you all the many ways God has made me an over comer. I can not make a believer out of you only God can do that, but if your mind and heart are closed to him how can you truly receive? No matter how believers answer this question you are going to dismiss and more than likely not even fully read more or less skim through them and find all of the things you deem illogical. So God Bless you and good luck.

The sign that you have is a circle, which is perfection and wholeness. The star represents the human being. If you spend time alone in the silence of the natural world, the trees, animals, birds, the sun the rain, etc. can you see the interrelatedness of all things? Do you see your place in the circle of Life? Really be in that setting and listen to the deep, deep silences of the world. If you seek God there you will find the One. Some of us call him father, but some say mother too. "I am that I am" is how God describes God's self.

Peace.

Based on your icon you have faith as well, just different from ours. Perhaps you "worship" mother earth. Christians believe that the earth is just another creation of the Supreme Creator. However, I would agree with you in that as I look to the planet (even the universe) I see a design that reveals the need for a designer - creative order.

Romans 1:19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

The Bible is to be used as a guide, not a complete proof. Let me propose this question to you, Morrigan: Why not believe in God? What are the risks of believing in God? If you believe, and it turns out that there is a God, you are rewarded by living an eternal, sweet-*** life with nothing to worry about. If you believe, and it turns out that there isn't a God, you are not punished...you're life just ends...

Same as someone who doesn't believe.Faith is what a person has to have.Without faith one has nothing. You have faith that you will wake up in the morning, don't you?Or,could you be like the rest of us,and take it for granted.

A person that doesn't believe in God can't prove he doesn't exist no more than a believer can prove it,therefore it takes faith.
Like me,I believe with all my heart that a man named Jesus died for my sins, and three days later he resurrected, defeating, death, hell, and the grave. When I pray,I pray to no object in front of me.I perform no rituals of any kind, because it's not needed.

It takes faith. It might be hard for someone to believe that, but that's just the way it is.

Fatima, Portugal, Oct 1917. The sun danced in the sky for 10 minutes, witnessed by approx 70,000 people. Written up in the next day's paper by the local atheist.

If you want a serious answer, go read CS Lewis's "Mere Christianity" It gives an excellent point by point explanation of why a belief in God is common sense. It's a very easy read.

But no satisfactory answer, especially when the asker isn't being genuine, would fit in a post like this.

I cannot prove that God exists. I believe because the message of the Bible is so in line with my own heart. Because of personal experiences in which I believe I have felt his precense in my life. Because of the known facts regarding Jesus (in my opinion supporting what's in the Bible), the tremendous history of Judaism, and their lasting effect on humanity.

Maybe you need to do a little more research on Paganism, 5 years may not be enough for you. Don't be a fluffy bunny. Don't give us Pagans/ Witches/ Wiccans a bad name.
Blessed Be- Peace to you
