I feel the same way. I am a Catholic and I don't understand why people believe what they hear about the Catholic Church from those who are not Catholic. Wouldn't it be better to learn the Catholic faith from a practicing Catholic who has been taught the truth about the teachings rather than from someone who has gotten their information second hand? So many non Catholics try to tell me what the Catholic church teaches when they have no clue what they are talking about. How can someone who is not Catholic tell me, a practicing Catholic of 38 years, what the Catholic church teaches?
God bless,
Stanbo

Of course Roman Catholics are Christians. I can not believe the degree of ignorance that some people seem to have.

You are a Christian if you have confessed with your mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior and believe in your heart that God has raise Him from the dead - Rom 10:9,10. Better still get baptized with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues so that you definitely know the Holy Spirit is in you. This is how you know you are a Christian.

A Christian is a Chirsitan because he or she believe's in the Resurrevtion of Jesus Christ, and he or she trusts God, every one that they find that God says in the Bible.
They are not saved because they seem to act perfect, think that they have not sinned, go to church every week, pray, or are generous 'good' people. They must trust in God through Jesus Christ to be saved. Catholic, though I have many problems with their history and beliefs, can be saved by the same criteria thata Protestant is saved by.
Remember this, it is vital to your own salvation.

Not to put you down, but believing in God doesnt make someone a Christian. Even satan believes in God, he certainly is not a Christian is he? A Christian has repented and forgiven of sin through Jesus and lives according to His teachings.. Christian means "Christ follower" Now you can be a Catholic and be Christian but no one is christian or saved merely by their religion or believing in God.

I feel exactly the same
Being a Catholic or Christian doesn't matter, I believe in god and I too em a Catholic
Its if you believe in god and that everyone should stand up for him that believes in him...
No one should fight about this matter... no one

People say all kinds of crazy garbage. Of course Catholics are Christians. Anyone who says otherwise is an idiot trying to bait you, or else the saddest, most naive ignoramus imaginable.
