Two reasons come to mind:
He doesn't want to hurt you. Think about this: You will be watching him going through the motions of getting married, a day that was supposed to be the happiest day of his life with "another" woman, how will that feel? Even if you think it won't hurt I'm sure it will, I find it that there is no need for you to relive his past in order to plan a future together.
The other reason he might not want to show you the video is because it brings back painful memories, he is divorced and the video shows people in his family that have already died. Why would you want him to take a look at failure and heartbreak? or at dead relatives?
Don't look too much into his reluctance, try to let him know that you understand him and that although you are curious, it isn't necessary to see the video for you to trust him and love him as much as you do, if the day comes when he wants you to see it you will agree but it won't change a thing between you.
Good luck!

I think some things are better left alone. Your boyfriend split up with his ex, and that was a lifetime ago. (I have a hubby who's ex always phones him to ask for some kind of favour. He just tells her he's married and she should be able to do these things on her own now). As for me, I'm not the least bit interested in her or her calls. It's a new life you are living with your boyfriend. Concentrate on that. It doesn't include anything from the past, it includes only the present and the future for you both. It's a job in itself making a happy life for your and your BF, don't complicate it by worrying about the ex. They may be on friendly terms, but he divorced her, and you are in his life now.

On their wedding day, they both probably looked extremely in love. Why would he want to show you a video of him sharing that love with another woman? All it's going to do is make you start comparing yourself to her, and your relationship with him to the one he had with her.

Just because he got divorced doesn't mean its not still part of his life. He will show you when hes ready. If he doesn't don't push it. Why is it so important for you to see this woman and is it really worth pushing him away? Let it be it isn't important

Don't make his past a part of your current relationship. Stop talking about her, and start talking about the two of you. If she is in the past let her stay there.
