Muslim women are subject to such strick control. Is it because the men are not able to control their Lust? Or do they not trust women? Are they afraid of the natural power of women that they have to force them into second class status?

The original idea of this practice was to remove all possible temptation that could conceivably distract men from their service to god. Mostly it is perpetuated today for two reasons: because "its a tradition" and because men dont really like sharing power.

Rosebud, Muslims don't believe in original sin, so women covering their hair has nothing do with Eve. I'm not Muslim, but... Muslim men are supposed to be modest as well, but there are different dress codes because men and women are generally turned on by different things. Both sexes are to control themselves, but both are also to help prevent each other from temptation.

Muslim women are required to cover themselves out of modesty so other men do not stare upon her. It is required by God. However, a lot of people these days believe that Islam teaches women to cover their face and let only their eyes show. This is NOT true. God said that women can show their hands, feet, and their face. Covering their face with the veil is something MADE UP by the extremist Arab Muslims in the Middle East. It is NOT required. However, to cover themselves up is entirely upon their decision alone. A lot of young (and even older) Muslim women do not cover themselves up in the U.S.

Also, Muslim women are NOT required to stay at home. Again, as I mentioned before, this is a belief of extremist Islam, that women should only stay at home. This is NOT true. Men are sometimes not able to control themselves when a woman dresses inappropriately, but Islam wants men to be attracted to women because of their modesty and their faith.

I don't know where do people get these ideas from! Muslim women are not forced to cover themselves and stay at home, those who cover themselves choose to.. I have within my family and friends women who wear the head scarf and women who don't, and all of them are very well educated, they work as doctors, teachers, engineers, some have PhDs and teach in the university and some chose to be stay at home moms. I was never treated less than my brothers, we were all equal and when I got married I was never treated as a "second class citizen", on the contrary, I'm always treated with respect and kindness. I don't know why do people find it hard to understand that when a woman covers herself she chooses to do that, no one forces her to. I have NEVER seen or known or heard of a girl who was forced to wear a head scarf. It is a personal choice.

Islam is a pasif religion, have the concept of to prevent than to cure makes it conservertive and safe.

In a matter of fact, ALL men will always have problem with LUST as in nature they are breeders and dominent to their colonies. One of the reasons why these men need the religion most, so that humanities is well balance.

As for the women, its not the issue of trust, as the ways of Islam trains them to be loyal, responsible for themself, others and a good mother to their children. Its cultivate moral and value. It sees less of moral if they are expose and liberal in attire as this will make them expose to rape and the object that provoke The LUST in all men.

There are only two natural power, WOMEN and Wealth and that you women can and should be proud off.

even the bible says that all women should cover their head.

1Corinthinians 11:3-6 it says "If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off, and it is a disgrace for a woman to have her hair cut or shaved off, she should cover her head"

But Muslims do respect their religion and follow their holly book, Christians on the other hand don’t think that their bible is good enough for the 21’st century and don’t give women their rights therefore they disobey their bible and Ignore this order

peace

for once, theres no such case as the Muslim women who covered themselves being raped or committing adultery or lose her virginity before marriage. Secondly is doing on their own free will considered as FORCED to? ...Wow never stumbled upon that definition before.

Wew..
I am sorry, but I think you misunderstood us...

The women SHOULD cover themselves in order to respect themselves..
What do you think about the girl in mini skirt and you-can-see shirt?
Will the men respect them? Absolutely not.

And the women doesnt have to stay at home for every time... They can go out but they have to be with her husband, father or relatives. This is in order to protect themselves...

That's all what I know about your question..
Sorry if it doesnt help...

i dont know where to start with your ignorant statements.

but all i can say is that you need to get out of your box and see the world. Muslims exist all over the globe not only in Saudi Arabia. Muslim women are not forced to cover themselves as you claim, they are not forced to stay at home as you claim and they are very successful.
there are many Muslim females who are doctors, college professors, lawyers, novelists, business women, teachers, engineers, architects, and every other occupation you can think of. you need to change the sources of your misinformation.
