What does it mean if your doctor asked to go back in again to check up with the abnormalities in your bloodtest regarding your Kidneys (possibly dry kidneys) or what not? Should I be worried, even though my blood pressure, cholesterol, are good? Why haven't I experienced any of the symptoms of kidney disease, or are there more that I don't know about?

when the Doctor wants to know if there is an abnormality in the function of your kidneys, he would usually request a blood test that includes your BUN (blood, urea and nitrogen) and creatinine levels..any deviation from the normal values or elevated reading, may mean that your kidneys are not functioning normally..
where did i get that idea? well,i'm a nurse by profession..

If you have a question regarding your test results, always ask your doctor, first. However, maybe If the blood test is abnormal and your doctor cannot say what is causing the kidney problem, he may need further tests to find the cause of a kidney problem.

This is a common part of a general health assessment. Therefore, Just because the results are abnormal, does not mean that you have kidney disease, just a little out of normal range.

An example of how a blood test can be abnormal is A high blood level of urea ('uraemia') indicating that the kidneys may not be working properly, or that you are dehydrated (have a low body water content). Nevertheless, in any case, only your doctor can give you the results from your test, giving you much more accurate answers, too.

Hope this answer your question!

Your problem is that you are overloading your kidneys with the protein powder. Your kidneys are responsible for cleaning your blood and flushing out the things you don't need. Your electrolyte imbalance is what they are talking about when they say your blood is 'bad'. The human body is designed to operate on a balanced diet. You need sufficient water (plain water not sports drinks) and enough protein to grow and repair muscles, skin and hair, but like anything, if you overdose yourself on protein your body has to get rid of it and you are putting the load on your kidneys. The heavy kidney load is also causing your high blood pressure because your kidneys are having trouble getting rid of the extra salts ... potassium, calcium, sodium, chlorides ... those are your electrolytes. In order for nutrition to move from your blood into your organs those need to be in balance. Do what your doctor says because yes, unbalanced electrolytes can kill you. I've seen it happen and it is the cause of death in many anorexics. Do some research of your own on reliable sites like Mayo Clinic or even Wikipedia and read up on how much protein, how many carbs, how much water and how many vitamins your body needs each day to function properly. Overdoing anything will cause your body problems. When you're able to get your kidneys well they will probably let you start weight training again. By the way, Human Immune Virus does cause AIDS. It's a virus (like a cold) that attacks the blood cells that fight infections. And radiation can kill cancer because at the prescribed dosages it kills fast growing cells (like hair, white blood cells and cancer) while leaving the other cells intact. It sounds like you need to educate yourself with some reliable science. ginny I

dont concentrate on things like blood pressure and cholesterol thats what i did coz im the picture of health according to all my labs and i still got diagnosed with epilepsy. dont listen to anyone on here who tells you what it could mean to have abnormalities in your labs they will just scare you just go back to your dr if it was anything really life threatening and serious he would have told you over the phone or had you come in right away to start treatment as soon as possible. just dont stress and remember you have two kidneys and if there is something bad happening and its life threatening just remember that kidneys are the number one thing transplanted so they arent as hard to come by as say a heart or liver. dont worry dude things always work out.
