There is only one stage of Hell and that is death. When you die, you go to hell. So your grave is Hell. Nothing more.

Isn't that like asking - How many stages of Heroin addiction are there? Unless you on self-destruct, why bother?

Good luck. Whenever you go toe to toe with the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last, the Great I Am, be prepared to be honest and open.

Once you come out of darkness and into the light you will never be the same.

Well if you "prove" the Bible wrong you wouldn't get sent to a non-existent hell would you? Or is your faithlessness weak and you fear that the Bible may be true?

And the levels of hell are not Biblical, they are found in Medieval and Renaissance literature and people mix them up for Biblical teachings.

only if your catholic do you believe in "stages of hell".
Dante's inferno played a crucial role in catholic beliefs.
In the bible, hell is written 31 times in the old testament.
It has two different meanings in the old testament depending upon which verse you read.
It is my understanding that the bible translators had difficulty translating Sheol and hades.
Anyway, christian doctrine states you face hell "alone from God",the first hell.
In the second hell, lake of fire, death and hades were thrown into the lake of fire.
Its my understanding that only Satan and his cohorts burn forever while the disbelievers simply just die.
Of course there are different interpretations depending upon which denomination you attend.
VERY EXCELLENT QUESTION!
God Bless

None, according to the book of Enoch. In the book of Enoch it says there are Seven Earths and Seven Heavens, and what we call hell is in the Third level of Heaven.

EDIT: Sorry i meant to say the third heaven :P

I don't think anybody actually knows, and I don't want to find out! This is another thing people will argue about forever with no effect. The Bible does seem to imply that there are various degrees of it though.
