Some things don't make sense that are in the Bible to people, and instead of just having hope and faith, they say it was written by a man no better then them and that it must all be b/s

First of all, if you REALLY want to know why people "don't believe in the bible", don't direct your question to Christians. Direct your question to athiests. That's where I can help.
Sorry, but there is no conclusive evidence that the "Ark" has been found. You can see the link below for additional information. Even if it had, and you've got your chariot wheels, or whatever - what does that have to do with whether god created the earth?
Even if some of the accounts in the bible are based on actual historical events, how would that validate the supernatural assertions made in the book? Humans aren't infallible and humans wrote the book. Just over a century ago "witches" were burned alive by people who were, at the time, considered upstanding and rational citizens. Do you really believe those were witches they burnt to ash?
Do you believe that the people who tortured thousands during the Inquisition were really doing god's work? They believed they were! Humans have a tendency to believe some pretty crazy stuff! And it was humans who wrote the book! They said it was god's word? Great! On urban street corners across America you can still meet people who claim to be communicating with god.
It seems to me that the Christians are the ones who should be answering the questions, not the non-believers.
Why don't I "believe in the bible"? Why should I? I've never heard one rational reason.

Well here's the problem with Noah's Arc. The Bible was written by people who thought that the Earth was flat. We now know that it isn't. We now also know that 2 of every species of living things on this planet weighs over 50 million tons. Noah would need an Arc a mile long. The boat found was just a boat, but religion sells you a belief that is false. There are 1 million species of insects. How did Noah get to the Amazon Rain forest to gather some of them? The Bible based religions know all this but they still sell you the idea that the bible is the "Word of God". . You would have to believe that God was stupid or that the bible is the word of ignorant man pretending to be God. Don't believe all the ideas that religion sells you. They themselves know that many of the things that they tell you have been proven wrong. But they'll gladly sell it to you if you'll buy it.

because some people have enough rational thought processes to know a good story for what it is - a story.
the bible contradicts itself at nearly every turn and makes hypocrites of those that espouse its word as some truth.
go and have a VERY GOOD read of it. and don't just conveniently skim over the nasty vengeful bits. it is a horror story without equal.

If you truly wish to know the answer to this, how about asking a real unbeliever, rather than another Christian who's only going to parrot your answer and say that "Satan" is doing it?
My suspicion is that you don't want to know, you're just looking for people to back you up so you don't have to go and ask us "scary" atheists why we don't believe.

Gosh, maybe it's because the Bible repeatedly condones stoning people and slavery and other moronic things.
Think that could be it?

most people seem to doubt facts because they don't want a higher authority! People like to think they control everything. its that simple
