I am a little on the heavier side and always have been. I have honestly had about ten people in the last few years tell me I'm the most beautiful woman they've ever seen. I can't understand the attraction. What do you think?

are you fishing for compliments?

Being beautiful does not equate being thin. I grew up in a family of fleshy women, and my sister is fat. That didn't prevent her from being gorgeous inside and out, and she's had her share of admirers. Look at Kelly Clarkson. Also, after Tyra Banks put on weight, she still modelled for Victoria's Secret and looked great.

Most men prefer having some meat on their women so there's actually something nice and soft to hold! They may gawk at thin girls, but they still want a real woman to hold. Besides, most of the time, being attracted to someone doesn't always have to do strictly with looks. If you have charm and your personality glows, it'll instantly make you look more beautiful.

If you're told you're beautiful, then you are! Enjoy the compliments and play up your assets. It's all about attitude and confidence and if you've got loads of both, you'll be a showstopper.

I've seen beautiful "big" women. But lots of "big" women have attractive faces. There's nothing so unusual about that. Some fat distributes nicely in a person.

There are a LOT of beautiful big women - apparently you're one of them! If 10 people think you're beautiful then honey, you probably ARE beautiful! Why do women always have to question it when somebody thinks you're pretty? Don't ask questions, just enjoy the compliments and the attention!

Yes, Jammie I have seen several. I truly believe many beautiful big women are more genuinely contented with life than the average "Twiggy".

Before anyone can admire and love another, one must first admire and love themselves (and I do not say that in an egotistical way). I mean have an "Inner confidence" and the outer beauty just naturally shine forth into who you really are.

Good, thought provoking question. Thanks.

Some of the prettiest women I have seen are on the heavy side (not extremely huge) but bigger than average, and it truly amazes me when they have a pleasant attitude to compliment that beauty!!

Take it for what it is..you are gorgeous :)

The amazing thing about being "beautiful" or having people think you are beautiful has nothing to do with size. You can be fat and beautiful. That's why beautiful height/weight proportionate people are so striking to others.

You should know for yourself that you are beautiful. You don't need anyone else to tell you that.
