Actually, I have been genuinely curious about many religions, and I've learned a lot about them here.
I know what I think about Christianity for the most part, because I have spent the majority of my life as one and studying the different denominations and so on.
But I don't know much about Hindus or Taoists, or Wiccans, and so on.
Is it Ok with you if I have an opinion about some religions and wanna learn more about some religions, too? Hope so, because that's the way it is.
And, incidentally, there's an awful lot of "derisive" theists here that wouldn't know what to do if there weren't atheists, Muslims, and Pagans here to pick on.

I find it interesting that you accuse atheists of being derisive in such a derisive manner. And that you choose to engage us in conversation. Why is that? Perhaps you secretly enjoy the give & take?
But seriously, the R&S section is part of the broader section of Society & Culture. I am keenly interested in how religion impacts the society and culture that I live in. And I hope that by engaging with theists I can influence some of them to be a little more open minded to value of science and reason.

can't the side of truth have a say or do you have to censor to keep derisive pseudo Christians safe from honest opinion .
Is the faith of ********* so fragile that a few words of truth shatter
it . take a clean spirit that denies the falsification of spooks and other things that belong on Buffy the vampire slayer and if the objective voice of a mere atheist is too much truth good bye you have enough free will to go to a one sided site for hypocrits that don't respect my spiritual existence or intellctual heart for you see your christian snobbery is far worse than the misleading
sense of victimization you profess to me. I truly hope you gain some sense from this exchange ...
peaceout

um ... i thought you Christians wanted the "persecution". i mean ... why else would you post such a derisive "question", bait the Atheists to respond in a defensive or aggressive manner? when you get that kind of reaction, when you get the hostile reaction you desire you can claim "poor persecuted Christian" and commiserate with the other Christians just how "persecuted" Christians are by the mean unbelievers just like Jesus said would happen, those jealous, immoral, hateful, Satan driven unbelievers attacking the meek and mild, gentle and unassuming Christians.
PS. ppffffffffffftttttt!!!

the would go to their own rooms and browbeat the 'christians' that will insist on going there to denounce them.
alternatively, I see most of what I see as christians, being aware that these people have their minds made up, to pray for them and continue with their life and religion
