Try LG, their commercials are evrywhere and commercials are what I go by.
But seriously, I hope you get some good advice, a TV investment is nothing to joke around with. Oh my god, I just did it, somebody help me. I just did it again. Arrrrggggghhhhh!
Here are some websites that will definitely help. Make sure you pay attention to the user reviews, they are usually the most truthful. You can also call a store like Best Buy and Circuit City and ask to speak with someone in electronics or the television department. By calling, they may not be in the sell, sell, sell mode and may actually give you some correct advice.

I've done a lot of research and a lot of standing in best buy just looking at all the different tv's. For LCD, i'd say it's hard to beat the Samsung. It's absolutely beautiful. It's now the most common display tv for the XBox 360 kiosks, and some playstation stuff as well. It's no coincidence. I'd also say the Samsungs are moderately priced. Toshiba is pretty good overall, but my other top LCD brand would be Sharp. They are more expensive, and i don't think they look any better than the Samsung.
Hope this helps.

I got an LG L203WT 20" widescreen monitor.
I wanted to buy a samsung 20" before i got this but i couldnt find the model.
I am now happy that i got the LG, and not the Samesung.
It has 1400:1 contrast and it looks beautyful.
I heard people saying Philips or Samsung are better.
I have a Philips too and i aint impressed really.
Just get LG.

Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Panasonic. those are the 4 "undisputed" precise-tier television manufacturers indoors the U. S.. some others argue that they belong in that variety, yet those 4 are undisputed by using all reviewers. All televisions are composed of things provided from different manufacturers, then assembled into the television set on the emblem call's assembly plant. precise-Tier makers only use the impressive factors and oftentimes have a presence close to section manufacture to insure ideal high quality controls measures are accompanied. additionally they only purchase from sturdy factors with a shown record for sturdy factors, chips, boards, etc. This finally leads to an finished product it somewhat is far extra effectual sturdy than different 2d tier and funds tier manufacturers who've lots much less administration over the producing of the guy factors, or who only use less expensive as a activity for the source of their factors. it is why this is taken under consideration mandatory, in case you desire that television to end incredible for the destiny, which you purchase from an exact-tier producer. this is plausible which you may desire to get fortunate with some 2d-tier or perhaps some funds type (Like Westinghouse, Memorex, etc.) and get a reliable performing set. in spite of if it is far extra effectual probably which you would be upset some years down the line.
