You can use warm salt water or hydrogen peroxid to swish around your mouth but your cannot swallow either one of them

There are several over-the-counter cures for canker sores and the like, most of them at least work as an antiseptic.
If you've got mouthwash, douse the sore in it and endure the burning until it subsides.
If there is a white layer over the sore, often times you can scrape it off, which I have found to quicken the healing process.

Avoid citrus too.

Swishing warm salt (preferably sea salt...available in health food stores) water around your mouth can help it heal faster. It tastes gross, but it does work.

By gargling your mouth with salt water,
the mouth ulcers will heal quickly.
