The Andaman coast of Thailand, including Phuket and Krabi. Now till February is the perfect time to go as the weather will be great (the monsoon arrives in March I think). The islands are beautiful and most of the locals understand English so language won't be a problem.

My next favourite place is the Austrian and Swiss Alps, though it may be very cold now. I went in early November, which was the end of autumn, and the mix of colourful foliage and snow caps on the mountains was stunning. The cities and villages are beautiful and very refreshing, especially if you usually live in a crowded urban city.

SOUTH AFRICA - easy choice!
Why, well we have some of the world's most amazing and diverse scenery and landscaping among other things. As well as the people are super friendly - like me;) haha
Cape Town is awesome - beautiful mountains.
Knysna - is spectacular amazing forestry along with ocean.
Durban - is the holiday capital around this time of year (so extremely busy with locals at present) However, go a little north or south of that and the little towns are less busy but full of culture and beauty - try a town called Scottburgh.
