The relationship I'm in now! 21 years. I married in 1993. The dating part of the relationship in the early years was wonderful at first, then started getting red flags, then things changed for the better, got married and 2-3 years into the marriage started seeing the same red flags. I really think my spouse is bi-polar!
He's a nice guy, but I believe he has some deep seeded problems from growing up and the way he was raised!

What do you mean destructive?
Phisical? Never. DOn't even wait for the answers, Run.
Emotional: If abusing is involved run smoothly. You don't want come backs. If you feel destroyed day by day look for the causes. Sometimes you create them, or you let them happen. If you see yourself innocent close the chapter.
All my friends divorced (yes they even managed to get married even tough imost were abusive). Longest one was 14 years. She filed for court, restriction orders, etc. Sooner the better.

2 years....recently trying to get out of it. I don't know why we do sh@t like this, take all the lies and empty promises that things will change! I don't know why!! But for the others that say they just don't deal with it, they haven't been in a really bad situation....cause I never thought I would fall for bs like I have. No more!! And I feel GOOD!

I stayed for almost a year, thinking it would get better and that he would change... boy was I wrong, and wasted WAY too much time. DON'T do it, they won't change.
