Sometimes when i download an episode of a tv show , the completed file is split among a whole bunch of small files... these files are not recognized by my media player, what do i do?

If they are in sequence, like 01, 02, and so on, there is probably a .RAR file in that sequence. Then you will need to use WINRAR or 7ZIP to unpack the file. Just open the RAR file and you should see what's inside.

If the small files are archives, you can try un-archiving them and see. A good media player will be VLC Media Player, which you can get free from http://www.download.com.

However, if all files cannot be manipulated or unarchived, then it may be telling you to mount them into a virtual directory using Daemon Tools, like a virtual drive. I don't know much about mounting virtual drives but I know it can be done for games seperated into several unopenable files.
