Good for you to want to bother! As an expert in this field....if her family are orthodox it will be almost impossible to have a relationship without a lot of heartache and tears....if they are liberal or reform it will be a bit smoother. It took 10 years for my In-Laws to accept me and i changed my religion in the process. They were orthodox and i coverted through Reform. It was a tough time all round but my relationship lasted 27 years......stick at it if you really like the person. Best of luck to you!
