you are right true Islam is spread with love not with hate.
Sadly you will never convince your father. I have had the same battle with my mother for years. She just finally decided that she could not change my beliefs and could not fill me with her hate so she finally stopped.

What you need to know is this:
Islam is never corrupt for it mean peace. It is the people who are corrupt.
Killing people does not get you a reward anyplace and the afterlife counts.
Intentions and good deeds get rewards, as well as some intentions and deeds and get you demerets if the intention is bad and you carry it out.
True Islam means not to teach your kids or to become a suicidal bomber, those who commit suicide will immediately go to hell.
True in the beginning Islam was spread by the sword, but now times have changed. Though there are some who still seem to be using the "sword" I like to referr to that as force.
In truth there is no compulsion in relegion.

Salam :) i'm a Muslim youngster residing in Canada. I placed on hijab alhamdullilah and that's for the most section properly-known right here in view that i stay in a huge city with a large Muslim inhabitants. I do get the few ignorant comments and idiots at school although who ask stuff like "yo were given a bomb lower than there hahaha". although the hardest section is being distinct out of your friends. Being a Muslim, activities, alcohol courting boys donning revealing outfits and so on is haram, or perhaps as i do not pick to attempt this besides, it will be a touch awkward to might want to describe why i do not do it to those who evaluate it purely element of being a youthful human being and its person-friendly to them. Muslims residing in Muslim international places surely have it extra uncomplicated even as it includes installation in. And with foodstuff it will be a touch problematical yet I continually attempt to study the label if i'm no longer sensible of the elements. yet i does no longer wanna be the different faith no remember how confusing it receives and how distinct i believe from everyone else, i'm happy to be Muslim :)

I am a muslim living in america, and i have never been taught that killing someone that doesnt beleive in islam gets you points. In fact killing someone in the eyes of islam is a sin, and you would be sent straight to hell for it, regardless of the fact whether they are beleivers or not. Islam is a peaceful religion, we are taught to love one another, and to educate others. If islam is spread by the sword, then why is it the fastest growing religion today? By the way we also beleive in all the prophets including Jesus (peace be upon him), and use some of his teachings. I dont know who is teaching these other fake muslims to blow themselves up, but there is no way you could stand before God on judgement day, having killed innocent people and get into heaven.

You are absolutely correct. In Islam, killing a person is like killing of all man kind. Its one of the biggest sins. The men behind 9/11 were misguided. Suicide bombers are also frowned upon as well because suicide in Islam is forbidden. If a Muslims are at war they are forbidden to kill innocent civilians and are only allowed to attack military targets.
In the Quran 2:256 it states "La ikraha fil deen". "Let there be no compulsion in religion." Which means you cannot force someone to become Muslim if they don't want to. Which dispels the theory that Islam is to be forced by the sword.

Neither of you is correct. Islam teaches different things to different people, but dont think that only corrupt muslims become terrorists. exchange that word with extremist. And not all muslims kill infidels, again, only the extremists.

tell him to read this
it's forbidean to kill yourself
[29] ...... And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allâh is Most Merciful to you.
[30] And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allâh.
Quran 4: 29-30
no force into converting to Islam
[256] There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path........
Quran 2:256
killing one innocent soul, it's like killing the whole huminity:
[32] Because of that We ordained for the Children of Israel that if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land - it would be as if he killed all mankind, and if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind........

If Islam is a peaceful religion, why aren't there Muslims protesting against the violence created by this so called evil sect of Islam?
Why is it that if anyone who is white, Christian, or Jewish , and they speak out against the violence that is created in the name of Islam, they are called racist and someone gets slain?
Why is it that an Arab muslim will accuse a Christian of being violent because of the Crusades that have happened 1000 years ago , but if a Christian accuses an Arab muslim of belonging to a violent religion because of the terrorism which takes place in their countries in the name of Islam on a daily basis, someone gets slain.
The President of Iran wants to recreate the Holocaust on the Jews, and is doing this in the name of Islam.
I live in an Arab infested city, and I don't see them protesting this type of behavior which I think validates your father's opinion on Islam.
Not all Christians are peaceful which includes myself who'd love there to be an end to these people. However, Jesus taught peace (blessed are the peace givers), and made it clear that his Kingdom is not of this Earth; it is in heaven. Jesus would not want people to kill in his name. Mohamed has killed in his life time, and many have killed in his name in many life times. Jesus has never killed anyone. He has healed people and has raised people from the dead. Mohamed just killed the people that didn't believe in his hybrid Judeo Christian -Neo Paganism religion.
He didn't cure the sick or raise the dead. And Jesus taught forgiveness, but did not teach revenge!

Get the book of Quran and both of you sit down and read it. Arguing the point will never satisfy either one of you. Just don't join it.
