I'm looking for floor sized candle sticks (not the kind that hold mulitple candles and are made of thin metal). They need to be anywhere from 4 foot to 6 foot tall.

go to your local home store and look for newel posts and porch posts, then have someone cut them to length and drill a hole in the top for your candles and mount each one on a heavy flat base like a hunk of 2 by 12, you might want that routed on the edges, then get a can of paint or stain and make them the color you want them. happy candle making

Believing is seeing. Not only that, but there are so many things in creation that prove the existence of God. The design of nature, how every intricate detail adds up to create the complexity of our universe (e.g. how the Sun & the moon are different sizes & different distances away from Earth, yet they are the exact same size in our sky). Gradation, how we call people "good" - we are comparing them to something that is "best." Nothing can come into existence on its own. Even plants need the Sun, the rain, fertile soil, & seeds to develop. If this is true for everything, something no one can quite comprehend has been here long before anything we see with our own eyes today. God isn't "an invisible creature." First of all, He wasn't created, & therefore is not a creature. He cannot be described in any human terms. Secondly, He is not invisible. He is everything. He is emotion, temperature, water, air, sound, trees. He is in everything that He created. You are walking along the beach when you see an antique watch. You open the face, & inside are complex gears & switches, each moving in a certain way to make the watch function. Do you think that there is a watchmaker who created this beautiful piece of work, or do you assume that it appeared out of nowhere? You see, Christianity isn't about believing in the impossible. Our own human reason helps us discover truth. The idea of God is difficult for reason to comprehend on its own. That is why we use faith to try to understand the mysteries reason cannot. I'm sorry that you think Christianity & Catholicism is as simple as believing in something unreal or fantasized. Maybe you can read a book about the faith? You wouldn't have to believe what you read, but at least you would have a basic understanding of what we really believe. EDIT: I think you need some friends. Hahaha!

if you cant find any for sale, you can make your own. i made some for a friends wedding. i used posts from an old wooden 4-poster bed, and newel posts from an old staircase. spray painted them white - put a base on them, and a saucer shaped piece of wood on the top with a nail pointed side up to impale the canmdle. they got a lot of compliments!

I'm a guy, and individually, I don't like long nails. I know a lot of like very long, painted nails cause they're "so pretty", but I don't like them.
