David, Yes God is merciful even to those who don't believe and He is even willing to help those who do not honor Him.. I like how in the bible when someone ask Jesus if he would go here or there, He just would go wherever they wanted him to heal. He didn't ask them what religion or anything, he just went. Why should we be any different than He was. Jesus loves to prove Himself faithful even to those who would deny Him.

More information needed about this "miracle". If you were an atheist, why ask Jesus instead of God? If you didn't believe in God, what made you ask Jesus? And finally, how do you know he "did it". (I'm not a non-believer, but I'm confused as to what happened in your life.)

It's an interesting thought, but why would most atheists ask for a miracle from someone they don't believe exists?

Depends on the miracle....
If it was a beautiful sunrise or recovering from the flu, then I'd say yes (I wouldn't personally use the word "idiot"). But if it was seas splitting, burning bush type miracle, then no....
I'd asked him many times, no response....
I was personally told that God doesn't want to be tested....

By believing in something or someone shows you are human.
An atheist asking Jesus to do something is the response Jesus is looking for. No idiocy here.

Your belief is still not very strong, else you would not seek affirmations by others.

I hope you will find the strength you need within yourself.

We all are unique, and on a different path.

thats usually what it takes, no it doesnt make you an idiot, but now that you do believe might I suggest reading some of the books about the faith. might I recomend ST. Thomas Aquinas, as one of the best?
