I have it too. It's genetic. My mother tried for years to scrub them off. But her mother and aunt had them too. Maybe she was just being mean?
I think you can cover it with cosmetics, but not get rid of the condition. Don't worry, it is linked to genius level intelligence and inner wisdom.

If you've got really serious dark circles, like the kind I have, nothing will make them go away. People will tell you to sleep more, eat healthy, take vitamins etc. which all works if you have the kind of dark circles that pop up in the morning and are gone by breakfast. I've tried everything and nothing works, not even plastic surgery. Just settle to the fact that they are there to stay and just use a very good concealer. By the way, there is a new product called "Hylexin" which claims to remove dark circles. Don't get fooled by that. Its an absolute rip off. A huge scam. Didn't do a thing for me.

Dark under eye circles can be caused by iron defeciencies, and other vitamins. Women with iron defeciencies get the worst of it because on top of that we also have monthly blood loss. You could ask your doctor to run a blood test for you, to find out for sure, and then pick up some supplements or ask him for a prescription.
It can also be caused by hyperpigmentation, and you can use Hydroquinone if thats the case, laser resurfacing, intense pulsed lights. The list goes on- talk to a dermatologist. Or if you'd like to go a little more credit card friendly- you could use a chemical peel- that helps too.

Try to observe some of your relatives or family members if one or two of them also have these dark circles for a very long time then it must be genetic, it runs in the family. But if nobody in you family have these then you have to consult your dermatologist regarding your problem, she/he may advise you some medicine/cream for you dark circles.
As for me,whenever i have dark circles, i just put ice cube all over my face especially around my eyes {eyes close of course:)}. It does not only lighten your dark circles but also helps tighten your skin and close all the pores...and oh,i use cucumber too and take vitamins.
I hope it helps..Goodluck!

Hmm. I'm not sure if you can get rid of them. A lot of times its genetic. You can improve it though. I'm not a make up expert, but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find one. I will recommend Bare Escentuals though; Check out the starter kit at Sephora.com. You can apply as little or as much as you like and it greatly evens out skintone and looks natural, not like you're wearing a pound of makeup. When you first apply it, it looks like you're wearing powder foundation. Then after 20 min or so it blends in and you can't even tell. You could also check out light reflecting eye treatments, but I've had some good luck with the bare escentuals just subtly brightening my face and complexion. Good luck!

I would say that it could be a sleep problem if you hadn't said you've had them since you were a kid. In that case, it means that you're genetically predisposed to them and there's nothing you can really do to get rid of them. You can, however, cover them up with a concealer. I use loreal true match concealer under my eyes daily. It blends really well.

If its genetic,I mean if it runs in the family than its goin to stay there for life but if its caused by insomnia than you better get enough sleep to those eyes..but still U can try putting slice cucumbers on both eyes for 15mins daily..

Buy Ponds Cucumber pads and leave in the fridge. Put it or your eyes for 3-5 minutes.
Or use real cucumbers, just cut slices of cold cucumbers and place them on your eyes.
Cotton balls soaked in Cold chamomile tea are also great!
Shisheido, Lancome and Chanel, all have great eye creams for dark circles.
Good luck!
