i have type a positive blood and was a registered donor before my diagnosis. I would like to donate again but i wouln't wish this allergy on anyone else.

It is not possible to pass on a food or preservative allergy to someone else by donating blood. Such reactions are caused by immuno globulins which are removed from the blood before it is stored by the blood bank. It is very noble to give blood - it is certainly needed - and I hope that you will continue the practice.

you definately wont pass it on, the only thing you can pass on through blood is blood born pathogens things like aids HIV some hepatitus' stuff like that dont worry when you give blood they will fully test it before using it on someone.
