IT SEEMS TO ME ALL THE STRIPPERS I TALK TO WERE AT ONE POINT SEXUALLY ABUSED.

All the strippers you talk to tell you such personal information? Right.

I'm a stripper and I have never been sexually abused. 38% of women in the United States have experienced some form of sexual abuse before age 18. I doubt that entire 38% is swinging on a pole somewhere.

Well, here's the deal. Even at 16, you have to realize that life sucks sometimes. It isn't fair. By accepting the alcohol, you placed yourself in line with trouble. Whether this was a guy or girl that did this to you, accept part of the blame. She needs to sit her tail in jail, but you also need to think about this. Stay out of situations where you are vulnerable. It's just common sense. 16 is not too young to take a stand on where you want to go in life. My advice is to turn her either turn her and chalk this whole thing up to bad judgment or continue being a victim. After all, everyone made bad decisions: the woman, you, your bro and everybody else that stood there and watched a kid get drunk without saying a word. Edit: Even if it didn't happen at the party, the logic still stands. Have you ever heard the phrase, "If you lie with dogs you're gonna get fleas"? Think about it next time and avoid some of life's pitfalls. We ALL make mistakes. But not all of us learn from them.

Not a stripper myself, but I can take a guess.

I think some have been at some points in their career (if you call it career.) but some really put themselves in the situation. This industry has grey areas and that rookie strippers should have already known it that they are 'at risk' before they start their job.

well, that's what probably led them to be strippers. they felt some sort of abuse when they were young, didn't know how to deal with it properly, or didn't have the right support. When they got older, they still had the mentality that being an "object" and having men look at you in a certain way is the way to fill an emotional void.

i think a lot of them probably were, but i certainly don't think all of them were.
some of them just do it for the money, and are normal, respectable girls outside the strip club, or students paying for college.
some of them just do it because they like it.
