You answered the question yourself. They choose to be gay. It has nothing to do with how they are made but everything to do with choice.

Guys come on, don't be mean. This person is asking an honest and a rather thought provoking question. The title question of, "Why did gays chose to be gay," is an offensive way of putting it, but look at what this person says after. It was just a bad way to open the question.
To be honest, I think the homosexuality would still exist. It's a preference for a lot of people. By preference I don't mean that they "chose" whether or not they like men or women, it's just that they like one gender or the other more.
In the end, I think homosexuality would still exist. It just wouldn't have such a negative connotation.

Homosexuality is not an abomination. I am a firm believer that Gay's and Lesbians were born that way. Why would someone chose to be so different? I am not gay, but some of my best friends are. They would give anything to be like other people and be normal. They did not chose to be this way I can assure you. What they do with each other in a sexual manner can be concieved differently. I personally don't have a problem with it. It is their choice and if that is what makes them both happy and they do not drag other people into it, then I see no problem with it. Other people cannot even fathom any justification in two men together and those are the people most commonly known as homophobic in our society.
Gay people might be frowned upon, but so are people who are racist and judge people on the conditions that they were born with.
And tell me this, If God is errorless, how come there are Gays?
I think that God placed homosexuals on earth to teach us acceptance and equality. Noone is getting the point though.
Do you honestly think that a homosexual with a choice would CHOSE to be so different? Do you think that my 13 year old nephew would have cried every night and wrote a 12 page suicide letter if he coulod have just CHANGED his sexuality?
Let me ask you this, can you CHANGE your sexuality? Right now. Try it. Can you CHOSE to be gay right now? I didn't think so. And why not? Because you were born that way.
Do you think that God put homosexuals on this earth so that you all could have someone to abuse?
NO!

Well, I don't think that homosexuals necessarily choose to be gay. I don't think it has anything to do with upbringing, in most cases. If you look at the past, there was much more emphasis on masculinty and femininity, and yet, there weren't so many gay people, or at least, not so many that chose to declare themselves as gay.
I do believe that homosexuals feel a certain way that they can't control, or at least, they feel a certain way that they will never be truly heterosexual, no matter how much they try. I can't imagine feeling the way they feel. I don't believe that it's right, but I don't think they choose it.
Just let me say that I don't have a problem with gay people at all, and I'm very much a Christian. I don't think it's right, but I also don't believe it's my place to judge, and I love everyone, regardless of sexuality.

Gays don't choose to be gays. Gays in the U.S. experience so much hatred and discrimination- they would not purposely choose to experience that. So you have to be careful about using the word "choose."
If there were less emphasis on masculinity, femininity, and sexuality, I think you would see more people coming out as gay or bisexual. It's not that there are more people "choosing" to be gay or more people being born gay, but as society becomes more accepting of homosexuality, people will feel more free to be open about their sexuality.

Jesus said that the day of judgement would be close when we see the signs as the days of Sodoma and Gomorra, the reason why God destroyed those cities was homosexuality, this are the days, as Gays are more open to act on their wrongful ways, The judgment is near. They choose to be gays, just like Romans chapter 8 describes it, "pretending to be wise, they changed the natural use of their bodies, and turn to their own mankind".

These arguments are so boring.
Are any of you zombies aware that in Europe, there is now a mountain of research showing that chemical pollutants in the environment are causing all kinds of sexual deformities in numerous species of wildlife? This happens because many industrial chemicals are "estrogenic", that is to say they mimic the effect of female sexual hormones when they get into the bloodstream of young animals. In particular, they seem to have the effect of feminizing male offspring resulting in sterility, hermaphroditism, and similar bizarre outcomes....
This is beginning to become a political issue in Europe because many people including a number of scientists fear that these pollutants are also affecting human children. It is suspected that this is the real, repeat Real, repeat emphasize *** R-E-A-L *** reason for the epidemic of homosexuality in the modern world.
Think about it.....

I'm not gay so I can't speak to the subject definitively, but, some are born with a varying gene that causes such propensities. In other words, it's not necessarily a choice.

Why did you choose to have two arms and two legs?
For those of you who hate questions as answers.....both questions have the same answer but I think mine will be understood as idiotic easier than the original because of the obvious lack of scientific knowledge that prompted the question.
