I can see what you are saying, and I think you have a good point. With OJ, though, it's hard to tell, because he was also a well-known football celebrity.

O.J. was an issue because he was a God, uh, I mean...wife beater, uh, I mean Football player...and, by the way, The Juice got off BECAUSE he's black. Even some of the jurors said so. And you sir, have some serious issues. Another thing, do you think Scott Peterson got life BECAUSE he's white? They had less DNA evidence on him than O.J. How about Jeffrey Dahmer, the Menendez brothers, Michael Skakel...the list goes on...it seems that money is a dominating factor in who goes to jail. Rich white guys get life sentences and death sentences more often than blacks according to some studies. I'm not saying that people who get these sentences don't deserve them. I'm not judge and jury, but your persistant inquiries in pointing out racism draw attention to your personal issues, as justified as they may be. It may occur to some that you are looking for, rather than experiencing such injustice. I am sad for you and sincerely hope you find some peace.

Yes. The fact is the guy is a murderer. He also happens to be an American icon. The fact that his victims happened to be white shouldn't matter either. The guy killed two innocent people, plain and simple, and got away with it. Do you think it would have been an issue if both the murderer and both victims were black ? I do , but I don't think it racism would have factored in as much. Same goes if all of them were white. It would have been harder for OJ& Johnny Cochran to play the race card. Mark Fuhrman made it so easy for him to do so, so we can also thank him for his part in getting OJ off te hook. But the bottom line is a football star killed his wife and her friend in a very brutal, very bloody fashion. Race is not the issue. Period.

I think we really need to keep race out of the equation. Anybody who is a suspect or guilty of such a crime should receive the same treatment and punishment.
To answer your question.... Yes, I do think O.J. would still be an issue if he were white, just like Robert Blake.

This is a great question. Since I think OJ is guilty as hell, my first thought when I read your question was "Yes!" it would've been just as big a deal if the colors werew reversed. But then I thought: OK--let's say Terry Bradhsaw is accused of murdering his black girlfriend and her black friend/maybe lover. They go to trial and an almost all-white jury let's Bradshaw off. Well, when I think of it that way: I think I change my mind! Sure, it woulda been a big deal, but nowhere NEAR the Trial of the Century like the OJ case was. I guess this shows this country still has alot of racism to overcome.

I don't recall whether or not he went before a jury, but I would assume so. That being the case, the jury would be mixed ethnicities and therefore insure a fair trial... so yes, I think he still would have gotten into an equal amount of trouble.

It would probably be worse, which is sad, because it shouldn't matter what the race was murder is murder. Our society may try to ignore racial issues but they are still here today. Why does it mater that he is black and she was white???ya know, we are all created by the same God and if he can Love us all equally shouldn't we try to do the same.(ok I'll get off my soap box)

In my opinion, I don't think that the issue there is that he is black and his wife is not.
The issue is the crime that was committed. Not only was it so gruesome but the person who was accused was also her husband and someone who is a well known person.

I really don't think it has anything to do with color! I think the fact that he was famous is the reason he got off, Everybody knows he killed his wife.
NOT FAIR!!
IF you took all of those same facts but changed OJ into a no- name white guy, you would have different results.
