Of course you are being offensive. However, someone needs to be offensive so as not to allow the religious empires to continue to corrupt the Bible, and God's message.
What is God's message?

This is a very self indulgent question to begin with and you already know the answer, don’t you? Yes, it’s offensive. Of course I agree with you if this is your line of thinking. Religion is often a tool that people use towards their own agenda, but if your goal is to never offend anyone, you should just stop talking right now; because that is the only way you will accomplish that goal. There are always going to be people who don’t want to hear what you have to say.

I think you are wrong. Religion isn't about an earthly agenda. But I DO think there are plenty of people who use religion to justify their earthly agenda.

Actually, there is some truth in what you say but don't turn your back on God just because of some unscrupulous false prophets. Offensive? No, but I hope

I obviously do not find it offensive because I'm an atheist, but I'm pretty sure people who truly believe will find this rather irritating. Many will question your claims, but history has proved that the church *does* manipulate information to further their agenda.The church forced Galileo to retract his statements claiming the earth was not the center of the solar system, etc.
