This question is now open to any dancer that has auditioned in a more involved competition in a specific type of dance genre or area that requires skill and experience---- Please read the question--- I am asking about try outs also known as auditions-- What did they involve--- Was it expensive-- Were there hotel fees--- Do they always pick the person who seems perfect or is it about spirit and passion ?? I would like to know from experienced people what to expect, look for, and what to know.

I dont mind comments like good luck, follow your dreams and so forth.(easy 2pts.)

I've never tried out for belly dancing, but I have for ballet... like she said, good eye contact, look happy, always radiate passion. Cross your fingers and beg to Destiny to grant you a go ahead. Oh, and /know/ you are good, even if you aren't. But I suggest you be good as well ;) Uhm... don't worry about competition, makes friends with the competition that allows you to befriend them, be imporsonal to the judges though, only /talk/ to the judges themselves if you are auditioning for a part in a play. Have your routine down, and always always always know the stage you'll be auditioning on. GOOD LUCK DARLING!

Auditions -- they demand skill, technique and an easy-confidence on the part of the performer.

Never take it personal if you are not chosen, it could be another facet like height.

I know one of the choreographers for Cirque -- he told me that dancers coming out of the studios do not have enough strength in the upper body.

Auditions are how you get the job -- why we don't have more practice at auditioning in our schools and studios is beyond me.

One needs to act like a professional -- this means enthusiasm for the project, research on the company you are auditioning for, being prepared with resume, head shot, business cards -- anything that might come up.

Tip: always thank the accompanist.

at the start, CONGRATULATIONS!!! no matter if you're going to attempt or no longer, getting scouted is amazingly fortunate, something a large style of kpop followers choose. i'm constructive he wasn't conning you, because JYP is a fairly renowned agency. i might want to point that you're trying out for the audition. No harm in attempting, top? From there on, see in case you bypass the first, 2d, and 0.33 round earlier you're making a concrete selection. there's no element in stressing about this in case you do not even bypass the first round, top? i imagine it will be a sturdy journey.. preparation is amazingly puzzling from what the idols say on kind shows. you may want to compete adversarial to a large style of different trainees to debut, so that you may want to practice plenty and likewise excel so that you stand out. preparation takes round 2-3 years at your age (17ish, top?), and then you'll debut. JYP artists just about continuously get steadily renowned (Wondergirls, 2PM, 2AM, IU <-- less than a diverse branch, and MissA). the most annoying ingredient to imagine about might want to be college, because once you get universal to JYP, keeping a sturdy college existence is amazingly puzzling. Taemin and Onew of SHINee were nonetheless in accurate structure, yet because you may want to coach plenty, there's no longer too a lot time for reading. most of the idols are truly enrolled in universities, yet i don't think of they're actively attending. intense college will be carried out at some global college in Korea, even inspite of the actuality that the most worry-free one there, KENT, is amazingly crappy from what I listen. best of success! you'll make the right selection in the top. :)
