My friend called me up the other day and told me that some chick called looking for my boyfriend. (my friend and b/f work at the same place) My b/f told my friend that she was some long ago girlfriend looking to get back together. Well the next day I asked my b/f about it and he said that the chick that called was actually a girl that he liked. He told me that he was thinking about leaving me to be with the other chick, but he decided that he wanted to be with me because he doesn't think that anyone else will treat him the way I do. He says that he met her at the bar that he works at, and that he hasn't done anything but kiss her once. Am I freaking out for nothing, or is he an a**hole.

DEFINITELY a nightmare just waiting for you to let it happen...you treat him better---what if you treated YOURSELF better and got rid of the mooch who is only thinking of himself? Honey---he don't luv you...he's still looking for a Mama---you fit the bill and thats incest....pass him over for someone who doesn't lie; give out his work number or think you are dumb enough to believe his 'stories'.
Its only cheating when he says so? Its cheating when YOU say so and if it walks like a duck, quacl likes a duck---its a ..........DUCK!
Sorry for the overt honestly, but I wish someone had slapped me straight a loooooooooooong time ago!

Dump Him!

First off, he wasn't truthful. These days, when ppl talk about what they want in a relationship, truthfulness, honesty, integrity...are the first things people say. The fact that he wasn't truthful about this girl's intentions in his life, then how is the rest of what he says credible?

Did he kiss her while dating you? If so, that's an automatic dismissal.

Get the book "He's Just Not That Into You." A guy who says that he might leave you for another girl...he's just not that into you. Get out before you get in too deep.

Hope this helps.

He is a total loser to even admit that he likes her and that he considered dumping you for her. I would have dumped him then because he obviously doesn't really care about you, he seems like he is just using you for benefits. You deserve better, I feel that you should be with someone who wants to be with you and someone who is not going to cheat on you and put you second to others. If he really loves you or cares about you, he would not try to get back with his ex. Just because he considered tells you he is dirty and that he will eventually probably break your heart in the long run. This time it's that ex, but you won't know what girl it will be next that he will try to leave you for or cheat on you with. Just do what is right for you, but he doesn't seem like he is worthing keeping or stressing over.

No, he actually kissed her! I think that you should break up with him, even if it is for a little while. He needs to grow up, he just can't hurt you like that! You never know, he might regret what he did and treat you better. Good Luck!

By what you have told us, he sounds like a jerk.

"he decided that he wanted to be with me because he doesn't think that anyone else will treat him the way I do"

That sounds like he may be using you. It is not a very nice thing to say.

I think you should seriously rethink this relationship.

sometimes it's hard to say. first of all, how long have you two been together? is he waiting to find out for sure if she wants him? is he looking to trade up in his mind. i have been in lot's of relationships and personally, i could see where he could be confused if you and he were real recent and he and her had history. if they have no history, (only his "wish list") and you two have been together for a while, I'd say forget him. sometimes men want to just spend time while their waiting on what they really want to come along. lots of variables, weigh the odds. good luck.

You're freaking out for nothing ,You have the right to be a bit worried but I think he was very honest with you and it means that he's trustworthy ,I don't think dumping him is a good idea right now but it is still up to you!
