If you take sleeping pills to end you life, would you get sick before dying?

Yes, you will get sick before dying, if you even die at all. You will vomit. Yes, you will become very ill. Yes, you will have a chance of dying - but also a chance that you won't die, but will be extremely miserable in the recovery to get better. Don't be so selfish worrying about your own problems. Think about how your family / friends (and don't say you don't have any or you're all fighting, that's a crap reason) will feel when they get the news. It could scar their lives forever. Depending on the medication you were taking, your body could try to ride itself of the drug and vomitting would result. If you are on your back you might aspirate, which could cause a pneumonia or brain anoxia. The result could be either brain damage (this would depend on how long the brain lacked oxygen or chronic lung problems as in the aspiration pneumonia. The problem is not if it will be successful but if it fails. The damage done to your body could last your lifetime and the hospital might make sure that your are placed in a facility to watch you and limit your ability to move in th community freely. Second there is damage to the family and friends of the person who attempts to end their life. There is no guarantee that your attempts would be successful. If you think of a way, I can assure it has been tried before. Those that ended their life left much pain behind for others. For those that failed they sometimes suffer from a life time of pain from their attempts. There is a saying. I don't mean to sound trite but it is true. Suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary problem. There are 24 hour lines to talk to others. pick up the phone and talk. You will be glad you did.

I think you are addicted to the feeling you get from these pills. You have to realize now that taking pills to forget about the day isn't beneficial for you at all. When you get older and you have to hold a job or you're going to college you are going to have to realize pill addiction will ruin your life. There is no way you can work properly while being an addict. You need to confess to your mother you have been doing these things so you can get some psychiatric help because you are on the path of becoming an addictive personality.

You do need to talk to someone about the way you are feeling...To answer your Question...I have heard you get very ill..It is nothing like you see on TV where you take pills lie down and doze off and never wake up....Please ,talk to someone,don't take the life that you have been given ,it is a gift ..Enjoy every day of it , even the bad times!!!

You would fall asleep, vomit in your sleep, and asphyxiate on your own vomit.

Not a pleasant way to go, but you wouldn' t realize what was happening.

I did. but i sought help after that. suicide is a perminant solution to a temporary problem.

yeah you feel worse than you have ever felt in your life, probably throw up....but then the pain is all over.......................................ps if you tell a doc that you want to kill yourself they are required to admit you to the emergency room, and you have to see a psychiatrist
