There's a book written by a Turkish author called "Who Will Kill The Pope in Istanbul". It's selling quite well in the Islamic world.
What a peaceful gesture from the "religion of peace": a book romanticizing assassination.
Looks like the Pope wasn't so wrong after all. It's like calling someone a thief and then the person goes out and steals something to prove they are not a thief.
Do you think Muslims WANT a "holy war"? Are they "all dressed up with no one to fight"?

I've seen the book. The cover shows Pope Benedict standing in front of a burning cross with a bearded Muslim man pointing a gun at him. Very peaceful.

People(not religion) write books. There are so many different books out there from different people of different religions about hate and killing. It is funny when I see on the news that someone has murdered their spouse, children, or someone they dont even know it is not said-- THe Christian killed so and so is it? However when a person who is Muslim that kills it is said The Muslim killed so and so or in your instance the Muslim wrote this book.
I am sorry to say the Pope is wrong about many things- he is not GOD or a perfect person he is just a person with faults like you and me. The Catholics have their problems too. Is it ok with you that priests are molesting and abusing children? That the Church is protecting these disgusting people?
How about the book Christian Antisemitism: a History of Hate or The Hijacking of Jesus: How the Religious Right Distorts Christianity and Promotes Prejudice and Hate where is the uproar over these?
Do Christians, Jews, Hindus want war? Each of these types of religions have people are very thrilled to go to war and have.
Be careful when you are quick to condemn a person becuase of their religion.

No but G. W. Bush wants a holy war, what were his words then he invated Iraq, hmm "God told me to do it" damn fine words for a christian leader. Plus you also got the holy cruduses (sp), I would guess after many 100's of years of being pissed off by bigoted christians I can quite understand there viewpoint (but not nesscarry agree with it).

The koran commands muslims to kill for allah to get to heaven

I agree. They say over and over war is what they want. And it isn't small groups like the press plays it off. There are hundreds of thousands at Hezbolla rallies.
I can't figure out why more people don't believe them. I am not the one saying they want war, they are. I just believe them and for that reason feel threatened.
