i spent a lot of time playing with a candle instead of doing my homework - i wonder, can all of this candle staring hurt your eyes?

It may not hurt your eyes but not doing your homework will hurt your grades! Remember to blink every once and awhile, do a little homework, stare, blink, write, stare, blink, take notes, stare, blink, read...get the idea?

if your doing homework with only candle's lit then it can hurt your eyes. monks used to read scrolls and old stuff under candles and they eventually went blind.

I dont think so, but the carbon from the candle might hurt.

uncertain. searching into the daylight or a UV lamp (like in a tanning mattress or saltwater fish tank lighting fixtures) or once you're welding without proper eyewear. well-known flames shouldn't outcome you

Yes if you stick it in your eye. Also sometimes the chemicals make my eyes water.
