The New Food Pyramid broken down mathematically translates into consuming your Daily Calories in the following percentages:
32.2% Dairy
26.8% Veggies
21.5% Fruits
08.1% Grains
07.4% Meats/Beans
04.0% Additional Oils
---------------------------------------------
On a 2000 Calorie Diet for example:
644 Calories from Dairy
537 Calories from Veggies
430 Calories from Fruits
161 Calories from Grains
148 Calories from Meats/Beans
081 Calories from Oils
Then of course 8 Glasses Water (Juice counts)

I completely agree with MAP, I was on low carb for years - and thin but not healthy - they minute I got off the diet I started ballooning up in weight. I gained more than 200 pounds in about 10 years.

Now I am starting to lose weight slowly and I feel human again for the first time in about 20 years. I am on low fat, little beef and pork mostly poultry and fish, some whole grains, veggies and tons of fruit.

I need more info to tell you best. But, you can start by gathering all the diff types of meat. Starting with fish, then fowl, then beef, lastly pork. Dont for get about nuts and cheese. Protein style at in&out or just ask for no bun when eating fast food. Beans are also a good place to look.

I ate no carbs for a year only meat and dairy. Do not do it!! Not eating carbs makes you lose weight only because it drops the water your retaining. Thats why when you go off this diet you gain weight back so easily.
