If the relationship is right - it would be very flattering.

I kind of like the idea that it's out of the rut. You know, guys are supposed to hit a knee, take her hand in his, yadda, yadda.

A woman who asks? Originality! Big points.

Downside? If he's not expecting it: Pressure.

And what a story down the line - "I never asked her to marry me - she asked me!"

Cool!

Traditionally, the man should ask the women. If the woman asks, the man will think: is this what my marriage is going to be like, with the woman wearing the trousers? Also, how will you feel if he says no because he wanted to ask, or worse, if he says yes because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings? I know men who would refuse on principle. I would advise you not to do it.

oooooo bad idea.

If I were him, I would think SHE is the one who wears the pants in the relationship. It would bring my pride down.

Let the GUY be the one to ask. It's HIS role. Don't surprise him outta nowhere and do what a man does.

Besides, you don't wanna ruin the timing. You never know if HE'S already thinking about proposing.

I am pretty open minded, but I think it is a bad idea.
I am a woman, but I think that would not go over well at ALL for most men.

Do you buy him a ring?

Probably the same thing a woman does, it all depends on if he is in love with her. I think its a great thing for a woman to purpose to the man she wants for her husband. Good luck!
