UFC fighters are animals/barbarians. They wouldn't even be able to touch Bruce Lee...he's an artist that invented a new kind of Kung Fu and brought it to the world. He's much too fast, too quick, too powerful...they wouldn't be able to keep up with him....maybe 5 ultimate fighting champions. Maybe.

Everyone can be beaten, including the legendary Bruce Lee. Dispite what the legend says, he was not as spectacular at real fighting as some people might think. But the truth is that Lee basically layed the foundation for mixed martial arts as it is today, or at least he helped tremendously. You've got to understand the guys determination and work ethic, also. He would have been one of the people that continues to get better and better each time he fights, and he would have been more than competitive in the light-weight division, to say the least.
In the UFC or boxing(fighting with rules), Lee would be annihilated by someone larger than him. But on the streets, he would be incredibly hard to connect with, and you can count on him fighting extremely dirty. Think of how fast some of the maximum security inmates can slice someone... Then think of a much faster strike. This is how fast Lee would go for your vulnerable points on the streets.
Tenchu, your a tard. The kid is talking about Lee in his prime. And its unwise to conclude that Lee wouldn't work on his ground skill if he were to begin competiting. As far as Lee being taken down by someone in a street fight, well he would either bite, pinch, eye gouge, grab the balls, or something else that would make the opponent think twice about grappling TOO close. As far as cage combat goes... I think it is safe to say that he would have been one of those people that is extremely hard to take down. His incredible speed and size would help him to develop an untouchable takedown defense.
He would probably be similar to Liddel in the sense that he forces his opponents to stand and scrap.

Well, it depends on how you look at it. Bruce Lee was VERY interested in practical martial arts, the philosophy of his Jeet Kune Do was to take what worked from each style and cast aside what didn't. With that being his goal, I think that if he had lived during the age of UFC he would have picked up the styles that are used today and could have potentially done well.
Now, if you just went back to the 60's, picked up that Bruce Lee and dropped him in the octagon, he'd get owned.

Bruce Lee would be to old to participate in UFC if he were alive today. Would his techniques work inthe UFC ring? most likely not. Most of the more successful fighters take down thier opponents in a wrestling like manuver and fight them on the ground or tie them up in a joint lock to the point of breaking bones. Bruce Lee's technique was about striking the person and making the target of his punch or kick about two or three inches behind the actually area he was hitting. quick fast blinding strikes but also it was limited to staying up on your two feet. If Bruce was taken down on to his back.. I dont know if he would be able to fight his way back up.

Theres no weight class for him in the UFC. If he had all of today's training and coaching, he would be a competetive fighter, but cage fighting was'nt his style, guys like Bruce Lee or real martial artist train to fight for their life, there are no rules when your fighting for your life.

I'm sure he'll do very well for his weight category. While the films didn't show it, his book did contain a chapter on grappling. He is one of the most rounded fighters out there. And not only that he is a thinking fighter. He would have studied first what a UFC fight was like and have a battle plan ready.
I'm not sure though that he enjoys contests though.

Bruce Lee was always striving to improve himself by whatever means possible. Therefore, it's safe to say that he would learn whatever he could from modern MMA and apply it to his own art freely.
Basically, yes, he would probably survive in UFC and make it quite far.

No chance in hell. He would have to adapt to the way fighters train today (practice more than one art). Just look at the untouchable fighters of yesterday - Royce Gracie, Ken Shammrock. They can't even hang with today's breed of fighters as they have both lost recently to new talent.

Bruce Lee in his prime would be a good mma fighter (he invented mma) in his weight class. Any top fighter over 150 lbs would overpower him though.

had a psychic call him up, and bruce said"
"why would a man fight under the rules of the opponent?, that is a sure way to defeat yourself- to limit your potential"
and thats sounds true to me.
Why compare free fighting and ruled events, its a waste of time. he vs he... no, its restrictive.
