There is the booklet "a gift for a king" hand dated on the back page 1/7/41 two tax stamps across the top and 2 Indiana excise stamps on the flair of the neck. There is no evaporation, and let us not forget the nice blue bag.

Good whiskey does NOT go bad in the bottle. As for the value, and I am assuming you mean monetary, my estimate would be betwee 150.00, and 200.00 US dollars depending on the condition of the booklet, and the blue bag. Nice find.

Whiskey stops aging once it is taken out of the barrell. So although an old whiskey is usually considered luxury, it's the number of years it has aged in the cask that is important. Not saying it would necessarily be bad, but usually liquor has a shelf life of 18-24 months once it has been bottled.

It may not be good even if there is no evaporation.

I would sell it on Ebay and also look for like items on Ebay and that can give you an idea of the value.

Wine ages but old bottled whiskey is another matter
