No. We have to turn from our sin and self - trusting Jesus Christ - doing a 180 degree turn - doing an about face so to speak - (the Bible calls this repenting) turning away from our sin - God cannot and will not condone willful sin in our lives. Also if the person accepts Christ - truly - he will not want to continue living his sinful life - he will want to follow Jesus and become more and more Christ-like. I hope this helps.

What does the Word of God say about Homosexuality?

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, 'Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.'" (Genesis 1:27, 28)

"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." (Leviticus 18:22)

"For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." (Romans 1:26, 27)

"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
Homosexuality is a lifestyle. It is a choice made by those who desire the unnatural. Can a homosexual person repent and be forgiven by God? The answer is yes.

"And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." (1 Corinthians 6:11)
God remains consistent in His condemnation of homosexuality as He does for all other sins. Homosexuality is indeed an unacceptable lifestyle before our Lord God Almighty. By the written Word of the Most High God we cannot condone or embrace homosexuality within the church.

I had it explained to me in religion class as there are two kinds of sin: Venial and Mortal. They used an example of a rope. Each Venial sin slowly frays that connection... the rope between you and God (metaphor) but no matter how many Venial sins you commit you will not lose that connection with God, it will only degrade. A Mortal sin seperates that connection completely. Mortal sins are basically just things such as murder and possibly rape.
The Bible never made a big deal out of homosexuality so it is a Venial sin at most (I personally do not believe that it is a sin). It only appears in two small lines within Leviticus and no where else.
People just use the Bible as an excuse to discriminate against homosexuals because they are not comfortable with it.

1. Whether he is homosexual or not, he will have to do more than claim.
2. If he really repents and puts his faith in Christ, he will go to heaven. Will he be still struggling with his homosexuality? It some cases, perhaps. Hopefully, he will have left off putting it in practice.

No their will be no kind of wrong doings in heaven...The lord tells you that homosexual is of the Antichrist...And know the Antichrist sure isn't going to be in Heaven...You have to turn away from sin and wrong doings to be a follower of Christ.Don't be blinded or confused by this....Like the Lords tells us some will...If it is of ANY wrong it is not of God ...You pray for people like this and don't hate but hating and knowing right from wrong is altogether a total different thing...And some get this mixed up...With hate some how.God bless the U.S.A. and Israel and our soldiers and their family's..And All...

Church teaching:

Being a homosexual is not a sin...acting upon homosexual feelings is because it denies the true meaning of sex (which has been distorted by media and society)...but God loves homosexual people just as much as he loves everyone else...its sin that he dislikes

My feeling is that if a homosexual is a good person and tries to accept this...then thats wonderful...cause it has to be hard and painful for many homosexuals....

Shouldn't you be asking Christ this question? Humans are not able to pass judgement for Heaven and Hell. Only Christ Jesus and God are able to do that. Anyone saying someone is going to hell is himself in danger of going there for judging others. Read the Bible.

Not if he's a practicing homosexual. Anyone who lives in outright rebellion to the Word of God has not truly understood repentance; because God will CHANGE the sinners life when they come to Jesus. "Old things are passed away; behold ALL things are become new"!
2 Corinthians 5:17

mr al...why would you want to remain a homosexual if you accepted christ? you should have a desire to turn from your sin. obviously you are feeling guilt knowing that it's wrong. that's gods way of talking to you. you have the choice of repenting or reaping the consequences. yes you will still go to heaven though.

Only God knows the heart. But one can be saved and still sin. All sin is the same to God.(lying, adultery, Stealing......) It is all wrong. But it is Forgiven. (1 John 1:9) So they will go to heaven if they are saved.
