Who is more likely to cheat on their partner, men or women? Why?

Years ago the standard answer was men, hands down. Nowadays if you read polls in magazines like Mens Health and such, it's pretty much dead even, or even tipping the other direction where women are doing more of the cheating. In my opinion, men seem to settle down more as they age, whereas women tend to be the opposite.

I've always thought it was equal. And honestly, I've known more women/girls that have cheated, than men/boys. And actually, one girl had even cheated on two different guys with me during high school (i didnt know she was still with the second at the time till months later when i saw him, and she broke up with the first 4 days after). But none of that has ever changed my perception that it's just as equal for one sex to cheat as the other. It's more about personality type than gender. EDIT: Oh and cheating isn't just always physical. There is an emotional aspect of it too, however hidden it may be.

Doesn't matter if men or women cheat more than the other. A cheater is gonna cheat men and women do it equally. The only difference is that women only get caught when they want to, men are just messy!

Honestly women are starting to do a lot of the cheating, but men started it, and are the reason women do the things we do. But not all men!

men, because they have a hormone problem and really dont give a hoot about how a woman feels when they are in a relationship. and that makes women cheat becuz if their man is not giving them respect and love they will get it else where. men are more to cheat becuz they think with their you know whats with no regard for the outcome of their future with a partner.

Women. Because they think they have more reason to and believe they can get away with it more often.
Either way, usually both a man and a woman are involved when it comes to cheating; a man cheating with a woman, a woman cheating with a man.

women would say men men would say women only way u find out is who has the most love who ever is willing to do more is the one who wont cheat cuz they doin tha xtra work so they wont have to so either way who ever has the most love is the one who is goin to get cheated on to stop this make sure both of u are doin things keep the relation fresh

Neither is more likely to cheat within the bounds of a relationship, they are both as likely to cheat. The answer would lie in the dynamic of the individual relationship as well as opportunity to go outside the relationship for self-gratification.

Both men and women are scientifically proven to lie equally; there is no telling. The men say it's the women; the women say it's the men.

I believe that Kinsey found that men were more likely to cheat then women. He also found that men were more likely to have pre marital relationships.
Therefore, more men are likely to do it than women, but of the ones who do, women will do it more than men.
