Perhaps with the open investigations they can put some pressure on the administration. But, the reality is how much more pressure can be on them - they lost the entire election because of one thing - the WAR.
Still not a lot to change Iraq, Iran and Syria will have more to do with that then the Dems..imo

That's the problem with the dynamics of this important question, the polarized alternatives that are offered to the public.
Many people support a kind of Annan Plan for Iraq. The problem with creating a loose confederation is the slippery slope created, if you create a Kurdistan for example, now you need to pacify Turkey and if you pacify Turkey, what about Greece?
There are many brilliant minds poring over innumerable scenarios, truncated analysis does not do the problem justice.
The people doing the work will be policy analysts, Democrats, Republicans and international thinkers. The solution will not be monopolized by one party, in the same way everyone will have a stake in failure.

If you look at what the Democrats have historically done with the military, nothing will get better in Iraq with them in charge.
