Meaning this...I have self-confidence...I know I'm good looking and I'm not being arrogant here. I just don't understand why I get weirded out when a guy says "You're really attractive." I don't know when its being used as a line or if its truth. How can I figure this out?

the only way to figure out if a guy is being geniune is by giving it time getting to know him . watching his actions towards you. If he treats you differently. People are hard to understand there are no red flags to look for you just have to get to know them.

Compliments doesn't always require action to be taken.

When someone tells you that you're really attractive, take it for what it's worth. It's a compliment. Smile and thank the person for noticing you.

When you go shopping at a store and see something that catches your eye, do you always buy it, or do you look it over and compliment it... "that's a nice dress" or that's a cute shirt. - just because you think it's cute or nice looking, it doesn't mean you want to buy it, now does it?

If you're really that good-looking than I suppose you could take it as truth. I'd guess if he just comes up to you and says it, he must really think so. Guys won't waste their time to give you false compliments out of the blue. If you go around asking if you look good, then most guys won't be rude and say "no" even if that's what they really think.

The problem is that it is true and a line. You can be very pretty and they are only mentioning it to you to try to get on your good side. I would judge by the guy's other actions what his motives were.

Enjoy it. It's okay to like compliments. That does not make you or break you. Just make sure that you don't fall in love with everyone that says that.
