Seriously.... Why is it that ppl who are against religion know the bible so well?? i now that satan will know the bible and use it against us, because he used it against JESUS CHRIST. But it seems to me that the ppl that have faith mostly do not know the bible that well, yet the ppl who dont have the faith know the bible so well, why is that?? why cant the accept the bible and go out and teach it to others, why do they have to argue about the bible. they come up with questions about contraditions in the bible.

Maybe they need help finding the path to heaven, is that it??????

if you had wanted to believe you would have believed, but you didnt want to believe, therefore you didnt. i am educated, i do not follow blindly behind the bible, i dont agree with some of it, but i do allow room im my mind, that science isnt always right, nor is the bible, but when i read the bible or pray i feel a huge load lifted off of my shoulders. most of you who contradict the bible probably never knew that feeling. nor the feeling of comfort, your hearts where never open to the bible, yet GOD still gives you a chance and you turn your nose up at it!! WHY? what are you gaining?

To believe or not is a dangerous thing. Because if you believe, even the word of the Devil will be accepted as truth. Because if you disbelieve, even the word of God will be accepted as lies.

Don't bother yourself with those who like to contradict like there's no tomorrow. I understand that the bible has undergone numerous alteration. There are lost teachings of Jesus. The bible can't be the one and only solution. For you who seek after solace and comfort, just believe in the light and do good.

Partly it's because that we who have studied the Bible have found it to be lacking.

As far as your implication that Satan used the Bible to tempt Jesus.... Couldn't have happened as there was no Bible when Jesus was present on Earth. There were assorted scrolls and books, but neither the Old Testament nor the New Testament had been assembled as such at the time.

Personally, I like to know something about what I'm talking about when I spout off. I try not to enter arguments when I don't know the subject matter. Many Christians seem to feel they know something about almost any religion that isn't Christian. They become "experts" on Paganism after hearing one sermon. Likewise, they feel listening to sermons as a good substitute to personal study of scripture. Most Christians (from my observation) don't own even a good concordance, let alone Greek or Hebrew dictionaries.

It's been my experience that some people just don't wish to put forth the effort to go beyond what they are fed on Sunday mornings. Hopefully this will change.

I know the bible fairly well, so I do see questions that need to be answered fairly. I think it is important to NOT disregard the "contradictions". They were put there to test our faith and make us search deeper, and to question. I don't really think you are directing your question right at people like me, but I answer anyway, because I see the reasoning behind it.
The bible was written as a parable, and that is the only reason it has survived for so long. If the truth in it were plain to see, it would have been destroyed (my opinion) long ago.

The bible is full of contradictions (surface), and those who have read it, know this, and it can make one doubt. It made me doubt, but still there is something about it that tells you to continue. That is why people use it this way, they are still searching for the truth themselves. Aren't we all.

I agree your comments on some anti-christ they known bible well. Some of them may go over bible and find somethings not make senses as in nowaday, cases in bible cannot be applied. On the other hand; bible cannot indicate who is devil, who is Christ. They are not visual nor audio. If someone come to your visual and say I am christ and order you to do somethings and you are chosen by god to do the holly thing as to bomb the Twin towers. Will you follow? If somethings order you to do something which you misunderstand, will you follow? When you are praying, your senses are open and calm down will easy to accept other signals, you may say you got god pet, you will happy to continue and easily you are in mental problem. Only the psychology or Budha sutras told what is it. Actually in the psychology of emotion, you are both devil and god. but you do not understand what you are and will not look into your heart. All the senses are the heart reflection but you never know it.

Christ is a hollyman, you really understand what he had done and why then you are another hollyman too. Christ had never said to kill devil when he was in a trial. Christ forgive his enermy and let him hit one face and other face again. He will never be anger. He knew he will be hanged on cross and he was smoothy accepted. Are we really follow his step? If only believe in words will enter heaven, I doubt to know it. How believe you are is much important. Do you agree?

i cant believe you feel sorry for the people who dont experience how God works whenever you havent even made a comittment to follow Him. there is no in between stuff... you either believe God and His word or you dont. i dont mean this rude, which i know is sounds that way, but its just you could have that amazing feeling times 100 if you comitted to devoting your life to follow Christ. think about it. and i think that the people who argue the Bible seem to know it better because they study it to try and find things wrong with it, then use it out of context to make it seem wrong or bad.

In my case, I know the bible as well as I do because I actually read it when I was christian while most only listened to what the preacher spoon fed them. Now that I have changed religions, I retain the knowledge.

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

belief is not a question of desire.
I wish there was a man taking care of every part of my life but i dont believe it.
There are MANY contradictions in the bible.
I am against religion because there is a high correlation between people being religious and having a poor society.

To say the Bible is not always right is to call God a liar. Maybe you're listening to someone other than God.
