I have to tolerate them.
Generally I hate people. Their driving habits top the list of the reasons why I hate people. I hate people who lie, cheat, and jump the line.
Family is completely the opposite. I love my family members. All of them. I would die for each and every one of them to save them.
There are a few people I like. There are a few I trust. I respect a few others, but they must earn that respect.
