I guess at 20 you are too young to remember Princess Diana's wedding. All her attendants were young some from the preschool she taught at. Its OK just don't ask them ask their parents as they will be the ones paying the bridesmaids costs(transport, clothing, gift etc) I was a 16 year old bridesmaid myself. Just keep in mind you need to line up a witness as these girls are too young to sign. Also keep in Mind their age and ask their parents to join in picking bridesmaid dresses that are age appropriate and allow them to pick different dresses in the same colour as it will be easier some parents are stricter about what their kids wear than others. Also invite their parents not their "dates" this will give your event more sophistication as most 10 year olds don't have stable relationships and watching a 15 year old making out at wedding with her boyfriend isn't right.

Why do you need any bridesmaids. Some of the most gorgeous weddings I've seen have only had the bride & groom; and this isn't just a small informal wedding, either.

Or you could have a MoH if you want.

Do you have an older sister or somebody that can be a Maid of Honor for you? You need to have someone old enough to sign the register as a witness. You can have younger people in your bridal party as junior bridesmaids.

Girls that young, teenage or younger, are junior bridesmaids...not bridesmaids. You could also just have one person as your MOH and forego the bridesmaids...there is no rule saying that you need any, but you will need someone older to act as a witness (either over 18 or over 21, it depends on your state)...

Thats kinda young, but they could be considered junior bridesmaids. I say do it! I don't have many girlfriends thru school so I am just going to have 4 bridesmaids in my wedding. Good luck hun! and congrats!!

i dont think that it is wrong..i had both of my sisters as bridesmaids..they were 14 and 15..if you are worried about how they will look just make sure that you dont pick a dress that is to kiddie or to adult for the 10 year old to pull off.. also you might want to think about how they will look up against the groomsmen..i would suggest lining them up my height thats what i did and it looked fine

I think having the younger girlsis just fine. Its something that is different from most people. But I would suggest having an older girl as your maid of honor. I think it would look better if you had someone older there for you on your big day! But good luck and do what you want...it is your big day for a reason!

Usually they would be consider Jr bridesmaids, since they are a bit old for flower girl.

It was an old age tradition that "bride's maids" were unwed friends of the bride ready to be married themselves... This day and age, anything goes =) I was a bride's maid for my aunt when I was 12. It's your day, do what makes you happy and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Good luck and congrats!

I was 12 at my cousin's wedding, and participated as a junior bridemaid. If you want to have your neighbors in your wedding, go for it! Remember, you don't have to have many attendents. Two is just fine, sometimes people don't have any.
