Use US Postal Service. It should be the same as shipping to someone in the US.

The USPS offer flat rate boxes. These boxes cost 8.10 to ship no matter how much they weigh. You can call 1800-610-8734 and ask for the military care kit.
The kit will contain:
Three (3) each of flat rate boxes O-FRB1 and O-FRB2
Two (2) each of Cube boxes OBOX7
Address labels - Label # 228 8 each
Address labels - Label # 106-A 1 each
Customs FORM 2976-A 8 EA.
Customs FORM 2976-E 8 EA.
You can also go to www.usps.com and order the flat rate boxes, the labels, and the customs forms but you cannot get the tape.
Either way you go the supplies are free.
As far as any other discounts, there are none. The USPS is the only postal company that will deliver.
Also just so you know, when you mail anything overseas to a person in the military the post office only delivers it to New York. Once it gets to New York it is in the hands of the military and is up to them to get it to the person. It can take as little as 6 days when the air field is working and as long as a few months when it is not.
Hope this helps.

I don't know of any discounts...but a few words of advise on this. Don't get it insured b/c that only is good in the US and can cost quite a bit. They'll try to get you to do a delivery confirmation...again since the ultimate destination is overseas that's a waste of money. And send it parcel post. If you send it priority it will be the first thing on but the last thing off. A good friend of mine that worked in the post office on an army base overseas gave me this advice when my husband deployed and he always got his stuff faster than the guys whose wives wouldn't listen!
By the way...thanks for doing that. I know my husband was always really thankful for the stuff that people sent him.

No, when you send through the U.S. postal service, the discount is built in. Since you're shipping to an APO/FPO zip code, the rates are very reasonable. Check the USPS site and get a quote.

Its a little late for parcel post if you want it there before Christmas. USPS is the best and cheapest option. The flat rate boxes are great. Oh, I was also told you should write "Christmas gifts for Soldiers or Marines" on the side of the box.
