These are yummy cookies but don't get decorated.
Soft Peanut Butter Banana Cookies
3/4 cup margarine, softened
1-1/4 cups peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
3 md. overripe bananas
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. baking powder
Directions:
Preheat Oven to 325°F.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the margarine, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Peal the bananas and drop into the mixture; mix well (some small banana chunks are okay). Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Combine the flour, baking soda, and baking powder; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Use a cookie scoop or drop by the spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 13 to 16 minutes - they will not be golden brown when removed from oven. As they set they will turn slightly firm. Allow to cool on cookie sheet for two to three minutes before moving to a wire rack to cool completely.

The quickest, easiest cookies to make when I have a snack attack is: Peanut Butter Cookies (no flour) so peanutty 1 cup sugar 1 cup peanut butter (not the runny kind) 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla Preheat oven 350 degrees. Mix together, roll into 1" balls and place 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Use fork and press into crisscross pattern (#). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on the pan for 10 to 15 minutes before removing them. Makes 1 1/2 dozen.

Lora, the best and easiest way to make cookies is to buy the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix in a bag. Mix according to the instructions. Roll the dough out and cut with Christmas cookie cutter. Place on a baking sheet and bake. While the cookies are baking, get some white frosting and place some in several different bowls. Use food coloring to make colored icing. Use the colored icing on the cookies and then top with sprinkles. Suggestions: Christmas trees, with green icing and top with mini m&m's. Stars with blue icing, topped with silver candy beads. Candy canes with red frosting topped with red sprinkles. Place on a pretty platter. I promise you will get alot of compliments and they taste homemade...If you want an easier way, just buy the cookie rolls, cut and bake. Make 3 or 4 different kinds of cookies and place on a pretty platter with candies in between...Merry Christmas.

Grandma's Sugar Cookies:
These tender cookies will become your family's favorite. To make Christmas cookies, frost them with any frosting tinted with food coloring, and decorate using edible glitter, nonpariels, jimmies, and sprinkles.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup shortening or butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2-3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
PREPARATION:
In large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix well.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
Add alternately to shortening mixture with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Cover dough and chill in refrigerator for 4 hours or overnight. (If chilled overnight, let dough sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before rolling out.)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough using floured rolling pin to about 1/4" thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 350 degrees F for 7-10 minutes until very light golden brown around edges. Let cool on cookie sheets for about a minute, then remove to wire rack to cool completely Frost the shaped cookies and sprinkle some sprinkles on if you want to. For Christmas, you could use a christmas tree shaped cutter, a ginger bread man shaped cutter, or a bear shaped cutter. I know of at elast two more kinds of cookies that you could, use a cookie cutter. They're from out of USA.

You know what is really good and that everyone loves - chocolate chip cookies are the bomb. My Mom used to bake big tins of cookies for me and my sister and our kids and we loved them. Nestle toll house recipe is great. Merry Christmas!
