i stopped wearing panties back in the summer and i like not wearing them but someone told me today that it could cause an infection. does anybody know if there is any truth to that or not.

Its a myth cause i stopped wearing panties when i was pregnant with my youngest daughter and ask my doctor if it would hurt cause i just feel more comfortable with out them and she said no it will not hurt you, Also i am a reg.. nurse and have ask many doctors to make sure what they had to say and they said the same thing so i havent wore panties for 11 years now,,, and havent got any infections as long as you keep your self clean then you dont have to worry about it,,, I hope this helped answer your question and Have a Merry Christmas

yes it is BAD..we have a slit not a tube you know..not wearing underwear will allow dirt, germs and bacteria in the air to get inside our private part. It won't cause an infection because it's going to cause a lot of infection.! it's also unhygienic..

well, in either case - girl/guy...dirt can get inside and cause an infection.....more for girls though b/c the organ is more exposed...
i'm sure you could find a thin panty that you wouldn't feel and keep you safe

First I'm going to answer this in a fatherly fashion. If you are as your I.D. states, that is, a "goodgirl", then continue to wear your panties. If I had to answer from a totally male, animalistic point of view, I would have to say '' You don't need no panties girl!''

Doctors recommend to wear cotton underwear. If you keep yourself clean you have nothing to worry about enjoy the freedom

i see how ppl can say it, your vagina is a doorway between your internal organs and the outside world. but underwear doesnt offer THAT much protection, so your should be fine.
