i really won't suggest a straightener if you want straight and shinny hair on a regular bias. try straightening shampoos by herbal essences or garnier fructis they normally work great with a shine boost. leave in conditioner also makes hair manageable and shinny.

get your hair chemically straightened. NEVER do this at home, you can easily damage your hair permanently, and they don't work that well either. $1000-3000. Or, just get a professional straightner $100-200. I recommend JDL, BaByLiss, or Chi.
