I just started up my old computer, and Word 2000 doesn't work, so I was hoping there was some way to download it or just get a CD for it for free. Anyone know what I can do?...

Hiya,
There a free down loadable software out there that will work with windows 98. Its called star office and if you go to the linux web site you can down load it free. It works like MS office but in some ways its a little better. You can do some things on it you can't on office and its easier to use, it even offers some games..check it out! you'll may like it!

Sorry buddy. There's no way to get MS office for free legitimately.
You can try some web based application if you have an active Internet connection, they will work out fine for Word and Excel format files.
The most popular currently is Google docs.

Its hard to find. What I did was went to the public library and put a floppy disk in and put the program on the floppy and put it on my computer that way.
